"One of the most successful athletes of the 2015 Canada Winter Games"
I have been representing Canada on the international racing scene for the past five years — in pursuit of excellence and my lifelong Olympic dream. I grew up in the natural beauty of Gatineau Park. My passion is gliding on snow. I started skiing when I could hardly walk, and have loved it ever since. I am 21 now. I live and train full-time in Canmore at the National Training Centre. I am a 4x Canadian National Champion and a double gold medalist at the Canada Winter Games.

Tam von Burg, was offered congratulations by wide-eyed young children after her podium ceremonies.
“That was a really nice feeling. Sometimes I think (biathlon) is kind of a selfish pursuit because I really just do it for myself, but when you see those moments where other people are actually pretty touched and inspired by what you do, that’s pretty cool.”

As I set my sights on the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, I am thankful for all the dedicated people that have helped me in my journey. Without their coaching and support throughout the years, I surely would not be where I am today. My successes are also theirs.
